Graduate/Professional Students and SAP
As a graduate or professional student, your financial aid eligibility is contingent upon completion of degree requirements within 150% of the program’s published length in accordance with the standards established by the Graduate College and your department. You must also maintain the minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.75. In the event that your program of study requires a higher GPA it will supersede the minimum listed in this policy. In addition, each semester you must earn at least 67% of the attempted hours to retain financial aid eligibility.
Frequent incomplete (I) or excused (EX) grades and/or multiple withdrawn or dropped classes can jeopardize continued aid eligibility. Repeated courses will be counted in the calculation of hours attempted, while deferred (DFR) courses will be considered an acceptable grade. Please refer to the Requirements / Minimum Credits Earned section for a definition of earned and attempted hours. Academic progress will be evaluated at the end of each spring semester. You will be placed on financial aid probation if you fail to meet the SAP standards.
